Force India will auction a hand-painted version of its 2008 Formula One car which will be auctioned for charity.
The VJM01-05 chassis – used by Giancarlo Fisichella for 16 races - has been painted by famous motorsport artist, Dexter Brown, to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Force India Driver Academy in India.
As well as the hand painted decoration, Force India will urge motorsport luminaries to sign the car, with Bernie Ecclestone already offering his signature.
Force India Chairman, Dr Vijay Mallya commented:
“Seeing one of my Formula One cars transformed into a painting is a wonderful initiative that combines two of my greatest passions: cars and art. I wish to thank Dexter for producing this exquisite piece of work, which I am sure will be of great interest to art collectors around the world, and will raise valuable funds for charity.”
