BMW has launched a website to celebrate its famous Art Car Collection.
For the first time, all 17 models can be seen in one place online along with a unique film with race footage and background information on the ‘works of art on wheels’.
BMW’s Art Car’s first began in 1975 when Herve Pulin asked the American artist, Alexander Calder to paint his BMW race car for the Le Mans race.
The last Art Car was designed by UK artist Damien Hirst and auctioned for £335,000 to raise money for the AIDS Foundation.
The websites launch also coincides with the 40th anniversary of BMW Group’s international cultural commitment.
