Alfa Romeo has teamed up with UK Athletics (UKA) as its official supplier which has led to a bizarre collection of nude shots of some famous British athletes.

Kelly Sotherton and Lisa Dobriskey joined Iwan Thomas and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey in posing next to an Alfa Romeo Sprint as part of a fundraiser for Heart Research UK.

Despite the good intentions the photos, taken by Fergus Greer, are and odd blend of bad tattoos, not a lot of car and some creepy eye-contact and that’s just Iwan Thomas’s shot with a Bladerunner-esque message:

‘Without heart we would be mere machine’
