Yes, that is a picture of the Nissan Leaf on that bottle of single malt whisky.
The reason for this is the delivery of a Nissan Leaf electric car to the Bruichladdich distillery on the island of Islay in the Scottish Hebrides.
The brewery will power the Leaf using electricity generated by the waste product from producing the whisky, making it entirely sustainable.
In the meantime, the brewery has launched a limited edition ‘Leaf’ whisky - one of the first, and we imagine last, times alcohol and road cars will come together for a marketing opportunity.
